As the title says! I don’t know how to explain this to the manufacturer; is there a significant difference between using 2mm and 3mm thick PTFE sheets for lining?

It’s best to provide the manufacturer with a diagram of the pipe’s dimensions. If the dimensions are incorrect, it will be difficult to resolve the issue. You can also have the pipe manufactured on-site, install it there, remove it later, stamp it with the required markings, line it up properly, and then return it for installation with the correct identifiers.
Just provide the pressure rating, diameter, length, and design standards. The lining thickness can also be specified according to the customer’s requirements.
