As the title suggests: What are the advantages and disadvantages of using internal and external gas collection chambers in settlers and regenerators in catalytic units? What are the symptoms if coking occurs in the gas collection chamber of a settler? How should it be dealt with, and how can coking in the gas collection chamber be prevented?
Advantages and disadvantages can only be considered in terms of the device itself; taking coking into account, the temperature in the inner gas collection chamber is higher, resulting in worse coking, while the outer gas collection chamber is designed to maintain insulation in order to reduce temperature differences.
