Fire pump stations typically are equipped with fire water pressure pumps, fire water pressure stabilizing pumps, and air tanks for maintaining pressure. The number and flow rate of fire water pressure pumps are determined based on the basic fire water consumption within your factory premises. Generally, there are two fire water pressure stabilizing pumps, one in use and one as a backup. You can approach professional design firms for the design. :Lol, for reference only.

A fire pump station typically includes a fire water tank, a main fire pump, a fire water pressure stabilizing pump, and an air tank for maintaining pressure. Generally, complete sets of fire pump systems are available for selection, with the main criteria being the flow rate and head of the main pump. Selection of the main pump flow rate: 1. Compare the total amount of water required for fire hydrants in each individual building within the coverage area of this fire pump station (the amount of water needed for indoor fire hydrants plus that needed for outdoor fire hydrants). 2. Choose the highest total amount of water required for fire hydrants as the desired flow rate. Selection of the main pump’s head: When the fire hose is located at the highest point in the facility, the water column delivered by the hose must be at least 10 meters long. This means that the height of the hose at that point plus 10 meters, plus the losses due to piping, must equal this value. The effective volume of the fire water tank should be equivalent to the amount of water needed to operate the main pump for three hours; in other words, it is the main pump’s flow rate V (L/S) multiplied by 3600 times 3 hours. The chemical plant is equipped with two motor-driven fire pumps, as well as one diesel-engine driven fire pump; in addition, there are two fire pressure stabilizing pumps that operate in interlock with the pressure in the pipeline system. When the pressure is below the design value, the fire pressure stabilization pump starts; if the pressure continues to drop, the high-pressure fire electric pump or diesel pump is activated. The high-pressure fire pumps are operated in a two-in-one-with-one-backup configuration, while the pressure stabilizing pumps are operated in a one-in-one-with-one-backup configuration.
