The company currently has an ammonia distillation unit; in order to save water, the wastewater generated after distillation is reused to absorb ammonia. However, it has been observed that over time, this wastewater loses some of its ability to absorb ammonia, which results in incomplete absorption of ammonia and causes some of it to escape through the venting system. This problem will not occur once tap water is used instead. I wonder if it might be because of the wastewater that is used repeatedly, and due to multiple boiling processes, the distance between molecules decreases; as a result, some ammonia molecules are unable to enter, leading to a decrease in absorption capacity. My knowledge is limited, so I hope experts in this field can guide me. Thank you all.
