Under what conditions does styrene undergo self-polymerization? Just the conditions!!! Thank you!!!
At normal pressure, this will occur if the temperature of the storage tank exceeds 50–56 degrees Celsius
Self-polymerization occurs under high-temperature and aerobic conditions
We operate at 10 to 15 degrees, plus TBC
You can find this out by checking the MSDS, or by looking at the material property sheet. Stability and reactivity: Stability – Stable under normal storage conditions; a polymerization inhibitor is required to prevent polymerization. Substances that should be avoided – Strong oxidizing agents, acids. Conditions to be avoided – Avoid exposure to light, heat, and air. Polymerization hazards – Polymerization can occur under the influence of light and heat, as well as in contact with substances that should be avoided, posing a risk of fire and explosion.
