The pipe is connected to the equipment via flanges – does this mean the pipe has a flange and the equipment also has a flange? ? In that case, the material list should only account for one flange.
Generally, that’s the case; but if the equipment already comes with matching flanges, then no additional materials are needed
The pipe should have a pair of flanges, as it needs to be connected at both ends
The equipment manufacturer should itself provide the matching flanges in accordance with the design specifications and standards
Generally, the equipment has one flange and the pipeline has one flange; if the equipment’s flange is special, the equipment can be equipped with a matching flange, in which case the pipeline does not need to have a flange
The flanges on the equipment are generally specified in the equipment drawings and provided by the manufacturer. Whether paired flanges are provided depends on the requirements specified in the contract. If the contract requires the manufacturer to provide it, there is no need for statistics. If there is no requirement, it should be included in the statistics when compiling them. Check whether the material list provided on the process diagram includes flanges that match the equipment.
