Is it better to add it during secondary combustion, or add it in advance?
It is recommended to add it in advance; if tail burning persists and the regenerator does not burn properly, a large amount can be added first, ensuring that a certain level of combustion accelerator remains in the catalyst as specified. Thereafter, it should be added regularly and in measured amounts based on the catalyst’s degradation, which will help keep the temperature in the rear section more stable
It is generally added in advance, before the freshening agent is added, to prevent unexpected occurrences
Looking at the actual situation, if the temperature in the rear remains low, it’s best to add a little oxidizer to prevent secondary combustion. If the temperature there stays high and secondary combustion keeps occurring, then it’s necessary to find the cause of this issue; adding an oxidizer is only a temporary solution. If it’s certain that secondary combustion will occur in the rear, then add the oxidizer in advance as a preventive measure.
Reply to 4# Ice and Snow: Adding an oxidizer is just a preventive measure; even if it’s added when a fire breaks out, it may not necessarily be effective!
Our workshop has a rule that additives should be added at regular intervals and in fixed amounts – 2 bags per shift. Adding a large amount when there is residual combustion does indeed have some effect
