Friend, what you said is too simple; I didn’t understand it. When asking questions on chemical engineering forums, it’s better to be more detailed
Check the procedures – what kind of device is it? What books should I read?

At first, find a mentor or someone older to guide you (actually, the workshop should arrange this); it’s easy to get started with the daily tasks. If there’s something you don’t know, ask questions – don’t be shy, and spend more time observing others. I’ll buy a book like “Operator’s Guide to XX Equipment” and read it in a while. What other team members have done, how they did it, what abnormalities, fluctuations, or accidents they dealt with and how they handled them – are there any good practices in these tasks or areas that can be improved? Think more about it and communicate more with others. The moderator always writes at the end of my evaluations: Encourage new members to speak up ; The more you engage in communication, the better you will get. . .
Reply to 5# chenlin_g: I’ve learned it. How can I improve further? What more needs to be done! I have been studying for a year now, and it seems I’ve hit a bottleneck; I haven’t seen any improvement in three or four months.
Learn more, ask more, do more – be diligent and inquisitive
Sometimes I have this feeling: for a long time it’s just going to work and coming back from work, with nothing to do. During calm periods, there might not even be any need to change shifts, and work seems quite boring – it’s just about chatting, (sleeping;P). But it doesn’t mean that less is learned at this stage; one has to use their own imagination. You can think about what would happen if there’s a delay, what the consequences would be, how to deal with it, and what would occur if a heat exchanger leaks. Think about it when you have time; this way, when the problem actually arises, you’ll at least be mentally prepared to deal with it. Over time, it will feel as though you’ve really dealt with it before.

First, become familiar with the process and know how to use it, understand the circulation of catalysts, grasp various theoretical concepts, and most importantly, be well aware of the principles for dealing with reaction accidents. Then, work under the guidance of a supervisor and remember the precautions that need to be observed while working
The reaction positions are very important, especially those involved in catalytic reactions. Generally, you need to go out and train*, with a mentor guiding you; read as many operating procedures as possible, consult books on refinery operators, become familiar with the operating procedures specific to this facility, master self-protection techniques and accident handling methods, and learn how to analyze changes in pressure, temperature, density, pressure drop, and inventory levels on the DCS screens. Learn more about accident anticipation on your own
