There is a leak of acid due to a hole in the bottom cylindrical section (the steel part) of the second absorption tower; the hole is about the size of a chopstick. Currently, a PTFE plate is being used to cover the area (this is the first time such an issue has occurred after five years of use). The leader insisted on continuing to use it. I’m in a hurry! After all, it’s the tiles in the lining that have a problem (there might also be acid buildup in the heat-insulating asbestos boards), and in worst cases, large-scale perforations could occur. I think the top priority is to stop production, conduct a thorough inspection and repair, but the management refuses to do this. Everyone, please help suggest what the right approach should be. Handling it from the outside is always a temporary solution; it’s best to address it from within, at the parking area. Otherwise, even if the leak is sealed, corrosion will occur again at other weak points, causing leaks.
It is very dangerous to drive the vehicle in this condition without taking any action; if one insists on driving it in such a way, a large-scale leak will occur in no time. I don’t know what type of equipment your factory uses, but if it’s a flat-bottomed tower, forcing it to operate in this manner will cause leaks at the bottom, which will render the equipment unusable. This issue must be taken seriously.
