For hydrogen production units, should the PSA reverse vent buffer tank and flare line be equipped with insulation? My workshop currently doesn’t have any insulation; it has been in operation for less than a year and water has not been cut off from it (it’s just that water hasn’t been cut off yet, not that it’s impossible to do so). The factory is located in the northeast. I would like to ask an elder: during the maintenance period, should insulation be added? Thank you
Lack of water removal isn’t a problem; isn’t the material dehydrated before going into PSA anyway? Besides, strict requirements must also be applied to the PSA feed regarding water content! Reverse deflation is usually done by burning it off. Look at your options for what to do next; if there are any requirements, then we can decide accordingly! I don’t have any insulation here!

Even with insulation, it will freeze to death; you need to add heat tracing as well as insulation.

Our factory is also located in the Northeast. There is no need to install insulation or heating for the vent lines on the top of the tanks; however, heating should be installed on the liquid discharge lines at the bottom of the tanks, and water separation should also be implemented.
