Learning theoretical knowledge is for future design work, but when it comes to actual design, we cannot rely on theory – it’s a contradiction
Why can’t we rely on theory? Is it too rough in reality?
Without learning, how can one talk about design? Go out more and talk with the workers; I think you’ll gain some insights.
Our device was designed by SEI; to put it bluntly, it’s a poorly thought-out design! The designer was too young and lacked any practical experience; the layout and material selection were purely theoretical in nature. As a result, we had to carry out numerous technical modifications after starting work, yet it was still difficult to meet the production requirements of the installation. Flow meters, control valves, pipes, and equipment all needed to be added or replaced. . . . . . I was totally screwed!
