The model of this cycloidal pinwheel reducer is BLY33-17-18.5. Why is the temperature of the oil tank so high that it has melted the oil cup? This reducer includes an gear oil pump, but it doesn’t have an exhaust port – is this due to the absence of an exhaust hole? Someone experienced help me out; I’ve been struggling with this for days.
It’s better to take it apart for inspection; since the plastic can be melted, there must be components inside that generate heat through friction. As for the exhalation port, you can add one on your own; it won’t cause any problems.
There could be several reasons, which need to be investigated: 1. Is there no exhaust vent? If there are no vent holes, it’s difficult to fill the tank with fuel (without a place for vapor to escape, the fuel can’t get inside; this principle is easy to understand), so vent holes should be added. 2. The oil temperature is so high that it can even melt the oil reservoir; it’s an extremely high temperature. It’s necessary to stop the machine and check the reducer to see if there are any damages to internal components such as the gear sleeves. 3. The oil pumps that come with this type of reducer are generally not very reliable. It would be better to remove the oil pump and raise the oil reservoir so that the oil level is higher.
