MAIN COA: COA DESCRIPTION; MANHOURS: hours of work; RMB: currency value. EPCMCDI: Indirect costs. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: costs related to project management – 8,846; 05,011,923. Indirect costs for PROJECT CONTROLS: 17,287; 03,941,155. Indirect costs for PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: 21,818; 04,232,354. I would like to ask everyone: the table above is a detailed quote for engineering design work. What do COA and CDI mean in this context? Thank you!
COA stands for Cost Of Administration, which refers to the project management costs. CDI means Contrat à durée indéterminée, an open-ended contract. Compared to EPCM, which is based on project-based labor hours, this is a personal opinion and not a definitive figure; it is provided for reference only
This post was last edited by Emily008 on 2011-7-26 at 16:28. CDI stands for Chinese Design Institute; in some projects it is referred to as LDI: Local Design Institute. CDI/LDI contracts are generally fixed-price contracts, so the quoted amounts do not include costs related to labor hours.
