When arranging pipelines, in what situations is it advisable to have a liquid seal, and in what situations must U-shaped bends be avoided?
1. The liquid being transported must not get stuck. 2. No air pockets are allowed. 3. Only an inverted U-shaped structure can be used for transporting steam

It’s really hard to say when it will be needed and when it won’t. Typically, the return pipes of condensers, demisters, and similar devices are equipped with U-shaped tube seals, and the principle behind them is the same as that of the U-shaped seals used in toilet drains. To avoid a liquid seal, it is necessary to ensure good ventilation; generally, the vent pipe should not have a U-shaped bend, as an inverted U shape is used to prevent rainwater from entering or materials from spraying out and causing injury.
