Whether you have just started working, moved to a new place, or have been there for a long time, there is one rule for survival that is definitely worth striving to follow: talk less. As the saying goes: Misfortune comes from what one says. First, just work and don’t talk. Second, don’t work, and don’t talk either. Third, if you really have to say something and can’t hold back, don’t talk about matters related to your workplace or those around you. Fourth, if anything related to the workplace must be mentioned, it should be work-related matters, trying to avoid any reference to people. Fifth, if one must mention a particular person, speak well of them; at the very least, do not speak ill of them. Even kind words should be spoken sparingly, because someone who might have a conflict with him could be right beside you. Sixth, if one must speak ill of someone, it should be in a very low voice, so that no third party can hear it. Seventh, don’t let a third party hear you speaking ill of others. Then get ready **. Eighth, the preparation is not for physical combat, but for verbal combat; by verbal combat, it means being careful that someone might strike you from behind. Ninth, when someone stabs you in the back, don’t say anything; instead, smile and remain silent.
