Is the unit used to measure the workload for pipeline construction called “inch diameter”? I don’t know how to write it; it’s probably called that. . . Please help explain it, thank you!
The so-called “diameter-based” statistics method refers to the process of accurately reflecting and calculating the actual workload in engineering projects related to pipeline installation, by conducting actual statistics based on the size of the pipes and their diameters as well as the number of welds. This statistical method has been applied in the installation of 55.6 kilometers of pipelines for the Shanghai Jinshan delayed coking project (with an installation volume of 30 million), and it has proven to be an effective management approach. Its broader implications include having an immeasurable impact on updating mental attitudes, improving management levels, enhancing competitiveness, accelerating construction progress, ensuring project quality, reducing costs, implementing clear reward and punishment systems, and achieving economic benefits. Welding diameter = weld equivalent, welding equivalent (dia-inch). 1 dia-inch = 1 inch of pipe * 1 weld. A single weld on a DN25 (1-inch) pipe is 1 dia-inch; a single weld on a DN50 (2-inch) pipe is 2 dia-inches; a single weld on a DN80 (3-inch) pipe is 3 dia-inches, and so on.
