Xu Kuang’s Xinjiang coal-to-natural gas project passed expert review

According to reports from July 2011, the feasibility study report for Xujian Group’s 4 billion cubic meter coal-to-natural gas project in Xinjiang was successfully approved by experts in Urumqi. The preliminary work is now almost complete, with efforts being made to start construction in the second half of this year. The total planned investment for this project is 22 billion yuan; it is located in Tacheng City and Bukhsar County, with completion and operation expected by 2015. To enable the 4 billion cubic meter coal-to-natural gas project to be completed and put into operation as soon as possible, Xumine Group has revised and finalized the \"12th Five-Year Plan for Investment in Xinjiang’s Coal-Based Energy Industry\". Xu Mining Group actively provides geological survey data on the project sites to China University of Geosciences and Xinjiang Geological Engineering Survey Institute, assisting the latter in revising its survey plans ； Actively coordinate with relevant departments such as the Autonomous Region’s Economic and Trade Commission, Development and Reform Commission, and Department of Land and Resources to promote the integration of resources required for the project. At the same time, project seminars were held on multiple occasions with Bukhsar County to address issues such as the coal resources required for the coal-to-natural gas project, land for plant construction, and water allocation. In conjunction with the coal-to-gas project, Xumine Group is expected to establish a coal production capacity of 18 million tons in Khoboksar within five years.
