Dear colleagues, our company is engaged in the wet processing of zinc. We now plan to upgrade our existing equipment, including enlarging the medium-leaching reaction tanks. The original capacity of each tank was 20 cubic meters, but we want to increase it to 50 cubic meters, with dimensions of Φ4X4m. We would like to ask you all: what are the advantages and disadvantages of enlarging the reaction tanks? Also, what is the capacity of the mechanical stirring reaction tanks that you are currently using? What power rating should a mixer have for a tank of 50 cubic meters?
This calculation seems to be quite complex; our department has people who are very good at doing such calculations for mechanical engineers!
It’s impossible to get something as general as this for free; you should hold a tender now.

Carelessness or laziness in making changes? In fact, those working in technology need to be as meticulous as possible, and the same is true for sales professionals! This involves a wide range of fields, including fluid dynamics and other related specialties. We have carried out modifications before, but many problems arose as well. You need to consider the following issues: 1. How deep do you plan to make your tank? Should you use a single-layer stirrer or a double-layer one? What is the angle of the stirrer blades? 2. Selection issue for the mixing motor. 3. How should the heating coil be designed, and how can liquid overflow be prevented during stirring? 4. Mixing intensity
Please contact the relevant mixer manufacturers; they can resolve your issue. You may consider Lightnin, the largest mixer manufacturer in the world, as well as the SPX company.
The motor can be Y160M2-8-B3, 5.5kW, 720r/min. Worm gear reducer ZF-C. The impeller speed is 31.5 r/min. These have specialized design formulas.

Which company did the original poster order the mixer from in the end? How is it working? How large should the power selection be? The medium immersion process has been changed; has the acid immersion process been changed as well? Is there a medium-immersion bottom-flow thickener?
