For a two-section packed tower, is it necessary to install a liquid collector in the upper section to gather the liquid and direct it to the liquid distributor, where it can be mixed with the liquid coming from the feed pipe for uniform distribution? Is it also necessary to have a gas distribution tube above the packing in the lower section? Please advise, experts
This will yield better results, allowing for more even contact with the material.
The uniform distribution favorable to liquids under redistribution was collected! For simple gas feed, gas distribution pipes are generally not used; there is usually a certain distance between the gas inlet and the lower surface of the packing, allowing the gas to distribute naturally!
Both a liquid distributor and a gas distributor are required.
