PSV: Pressure safety valve. PRV: Pressure relief valve. SRV: Surge relief valve. I don’t have much knowledge about these three types of valves; I would appreciate it if you could explain the differences between them and tell me in what situations they are used. Thank you

“I think I understand the concept of a \"water hammer relief valve\" quite well; I learned about it in HaiChuan as well. I’ve seen posts related to it there once too. However, since I had prior experience with check valves used at pump outlets, it was easier for me to grasp the concept of a water hammer relief valve. In my understanding, a \"water hammer relief valve\" is a device installed across the pump’s inlet and outlet; it closes when the pressure difference is high under normal conditions, and it opens slowly on its own due to the decrease in pressure when the pump stops operating suddenly.
