Its key advantages are as follows: 1. No wastewater is generated, achieving true zero emissions (the system still requires additional water). 2. There is no need to remove fluorine and chlorine from the raw materials, thus expanding the range of available raw materials. 3. Electricity consumption is lower compared to traditional wet-process zinc production. 4. The purification process is simpler, resulting in reduced purification costs. 5. It can help everyone learn about new technologies, but with so much information, some of it being true and some false, it wastes people’s time trying to distinguish between them. There are advantages and disadvantages, but after considering things carefully, I think it should be removed.
I think the post shouldn’t be deleted; those who come to the forum are all experts in technology, and it’s easy to distinguish between genuine and fake content.
Technical promotion and dissemination, which involve technical aspects, should be retained for peers to learn from and discuss.

Ten years ago, few people likely understood bottom-blown furnace technology, let alone participated in discussions about it, just as is the case with side-blown furnace technology today.

I don’t think all advertisement posts should be removed; it depends on whether they can provide something valuable to those who visit the smelting section, such as new technologies or new equipment, which are indeed beneficial. When there are frequent failures and high consumption associated with a certain type of equipment during the production process, it’s not easy to find a more advanced and cost-effective alternative. Online searches often yield only ordinary options, with no innovation or improvements. 2. If the advertisement posts can guide us in terms of technical or procedural updates, and they contain some preliminary content, I don’t think they should be removed. 3. I think posts like “Zinc smelting technologies suitable for building new and expanding zinc smelters” should be completely removed; throughout them, there is nothing substantive – they are very vague and contain not a single element that could serve as a starting point for further discussion. It’s completely a trick to fish for information.
For outright false advertising, we firmly support its removal. For posts focused on technology promotion, it is necessary to make distinctions: those that are truly technically feasible and advanced, and possess certain value for promotion, should be retained for discussion and learning by peers. Technical posts that have no practical value should be deleted; it’s better not to waste everyone’s time and money.

In my opinion: 1. Posts aimed at promoting a technology should at least include a brief introduction explaining the basic principles; otherwise, they are nothing but empty advertisements. 2. A dedicated section for promoting new smelting technologies can be created; all content related to the promotion of new technologies should be placed there, which also helps with better management and retrieval.
