Entrusted by Sun Huashan, Deputy Director of the State Administration for Work Safety and Head of the Leading Group for the formulation and revision of the Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals, Wang Haoshui, Director of the Third Supervision Department of the State Administration for Work Safety and Deputy Head of the leading group, presided over the meeting. **The heads of the relevant departments from the 10 member units of the leadership group – namely, the State Administration for Work Safety, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Health, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and the Civil Aviation Administration – as well as all members of the expert group attended the meeting. The meeting discussed the formal establishment of a leadership group and an expert group for the compilation and revision of the Hazardous Chemicals Catalogue, and reviewed the Measures for the Compilation and Revision of the Hazardous Chemicals Catalogue, agreeing to them in principle. The expert group listened to a report presented by the Chemical Registration Center of the **General Administration of Work Safety on the development and revision of the Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals, and discussed the hazard information of chemicals to be included in the catalogue, data sources, as well as the Sample Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals. The meeting highly recognized the extensive preliminary work carried out by the **General Administration of Work Safety in the formulation and revision of the Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals. The member units expressed their willingness to actively participate in this effort in order to jointly advance the formulation and revision of the Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals. The meeting required that, as the next step, methods for formulating and revising the \"Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals\" should be determined as soon as possible, working rules for the expert group should be established, a timeline should be set, and the work progress accelerated so that the \"Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals\" can be published at the earliest possible time. This will provide support and assurance for the implementation of the \"Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals\" (State Council Order No. 591) and its accompanying regulations. Note: Article 3 of the Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals (Decree No. 591 of the State Council) stipulates that: “The list of hazardous chemicals shall be determined, published, and adjusted from time to time by the department under the State Council responsible for work safety supervision and management, in conjunction with the competent departments of the State Council in charge of industry and information technology, public security, environmental protection, health, quality supervision, inspection, and quarantine, transportation, railways, civil aviation, and agriculture, based on the standards for identifying and classifying the hazardous properties of chemicals.” ”
