Our company has a workshop for producing clopidogrel, and one of the processing steps involves mixing the contents in a 1000L reactor with acetone. After that, the lid of the reactor is opened, a funnel is placed over the lid, and p-toluenesulfonic acid is added to the reactor through this funnel. Question: After opening the lid of the reactor, propylene present inside the reactor poses a risk. How can this risk be reduced, or what type of container should be designed to allow p-toluenesulfonic acid to be added under sealed conditions? Let’s all discuss it
If there are extra pipe connections on the kettle, add a pipeline and an intermediate container filled with toluenesulfonic acid, and install a valve on that pipeline; if there are no extra pipe connections, simply add a tee to the existing pipeline to resolve the issue. As for pressure considerations, it is necessary to install a vapor equilibrium tube or use nitrogen to pressurize the intermediate container containing toluenesulfonic acid
