Can intrinsically safe instruments be used in non-explosion-proof areas?

I accidentally made the instruments in a non-explosion-proof area intrinsically safe during the design process. What should I do? I’d appreciate some advice from those with more experience

It works the same way; it’s designed to be explosion-proof, and it can be modified. The manufacturer’s technical staff consider it unreasonable, and it can be corrected as well; mutual confirmation is essential in such cases.
In environments where explosion protection is not required, an intrinsically safe instrument is no different from a regular instrument as long as no safety barrier is used. Of course, the power consumption of the instrument is very low. If there is a workstation in the future that requires an intrinsically safe gauge, simply adding a safety barrier will allow this gauge to be used.
No problem, it’s safer and no safety barrier is needed.
