When the compressor is not operating, at the no-load condition, can the inlet sweep gas enter the cylinder? Can the gas in the outlet pipeline enter the cylinder through the exhaust valve assembly?
It’s possible; at zero load, it is functional. But as for the method used to achieve zero load, if it’s a unloader, that’s how it works
First of all, the valve disc serves a sealing function, but there is always some amount of leakage. It is a one-way valve that allows flow in only one direction, from the inlet to the outlet; therefore, the gas entering through the inlet can reach the cylinder, while gas in the outlet pipeline generally cannot enter the cylinder via the exhaust valve assembly, although a small amount of leaked gas may still make its way into the cylinder. But do not place the unloader in the zero-load position, because in that case it will be fully open, meaning the gas in the outlet pipeline can pass through the exhaust valve assembly and into the cylinder.

The air volume control valve is at position 0; at this time, the valve disc of the inlet valve is pressed down, resulting in an air intake state. The opening of the outlet valve can only be achieved through the pressure difference between the cylinder interior and the outlet pipeline. Therefore, aside from the inevitable slight leakage at the valve seat, the gas in the outlet pipeline does not return to the cylinder.

For a single air valve, the volume control device has only two states: forced opening or normal opening and closing; this indicates that all primary air valves are in normal working condition. If there are 2 primary cylinders, three adjustment levels of 0%, 50%, and 100% can be achieved; if there are 4 primary cylinders, then adjustment levels of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% can be attained.
