The BIP system purifies gases at high pressures in order to obtain gases with very low levels of impurities such as oxygen and water. To ensure that the oxygen content in the gas exiting the steel tank is below 10 ppb and the water content is below 20 ppb, helium and argon are used, while nitrogen is employed to achieve a gas purity that is 300 times higher than required. The BIP technology also guarantees consistency in the purity of these gases, down to the smallest elements. Such gases yield excellent analytical results, thereby eliminating the risks associated with gas contamination. Or perhaps BIP stands for Biotic Index of Pollution – an index related to pollution levels?
