Methanol technology: What are the differences between Lurgi’s and Davy’s technologies? Gasification technology: GSP, GE, and Shell are used at Shenhua Ningmei, Shenhua Baotou, and Datang Dolun respectively. Why is there such a significant difference? Who are the domestic partners of these three gasification technologies? I know that Hospital 4 has a good relationship with Shell. What are Hospital 1 and Hospital 2 good at?
Previously, Luchi used catalysts in tube arrays in axial synthesis towers, while Davi used pipes for the flow of fluid in radial synthesis towers. The other differences are not significant. David’s tower can be made very large, but it’s more difficult to make it as large as Ruchi’s previous ones. I don’t know much about gasification
The Second Research Institute is expert in producing methanol from coke oven gas; China’s first facility for producing methanol from coke oven gas was designed by this institute
Huasi No.4 Institute has seen its reputation decline a bit due to SHELL. Tianchen is good at producing gasifiers of the Texaco type, as well as coal-based olefins. Huasi No.2 Institute seems to use more Lurgi-type gasifiers for producing methanol from coke oven gas and coal-based oils. Donghua of Huasi No.3 Institute is currently focusing on coal-based ethylene glycol production. I haven’t heard of any special features associated with Hualu recently; they seem to do everything – methanol synthesis technology. In fact, the methods are all similar: the heat from the methanol reaction is used to generate steam as a by-product, or gas is used for cooling. The principle remains the same: heat release and heat transfer
