What does DCS repeater mean?

In the foreigners’ PID, it mentions “DCS repeater” (original text: THE PROVISION OF LOCAL GAUGES, DCS REPEATER GAUGES OR THE USE OF RADIO LINKS SHALL BE DECIDED DURING DETAIL ENGINEERING). What does this refer to? What is this entire sentence asking people to do?
OP, is it actually “repeater” or “reaper”? Please spell it correctly

The provision of local gauges, DCS repeater gauges, or the use of radio links shall be decided during the detailed engineering phase. Plans for preparing local gauges, DCS signal confirmation gauges (I asked a colleague; these are devices used to confirm that signals have been transmitted to the DCS system – it’s not about repetition, but rather a way for DCS operators to confirm that they have received the signals, as a form of communication confirmation... but my colleague didn’t know much about this, so that’s all I could explain)
