Why cannot copper components be used in the isolation devices for the pipelines of these three types of gas? This is stated in the \"Safety Regulations for Gas Use in Industrial Enterprises\"; could that friend over there explain it?
It’s probably because the strength of the copper components is insufficient. .
These gases contain components such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, which are corrosive to copper components; in particular, ammonia can form complexes with copper, and this reaction occurs rapidly, with the resulting complex ions being soluble in water.
