This post was last edited by nihaocarter on 2011-8-24 at 10:36. 1: The ordinary control valves used in our factory are cage-type control valves from Zhangjiagang; the positioners come from Wuzhong as well as YTC. Those from YTC are available in two types: YT1000 and YT2300. Problems that occur include the valve stem falling off, the valve stem bending, and something getting stuck inside the valve seat, which prevents proper sealing. The positioners get clogged due to dirty instrument purge air, blocking the backpressure nozzle. 2: The disc valves used are from Sichuan Hualin; their positioners are of the angular-action type YT1000. High solid content in the slurry system causes wear on the valve stems. 3: The high-pressure valves used in hydrogenation processes are from Westinghouse in the United States, and their positioners are equipped with Siemens’ intelligent positioners. The inability to achieve control was caused by a high actual pressure difference; later, a model designed to handle high pressure differences was used. The one installed on the high-pressure tank is from Foxes, and it comes with its own locator. It is also an intelligent locator; if there are impurities that cause the valve to stick, moving it a few times will resolve the issue. 5: The catalyst circulation in the reforming unit uses Somerson units, which come equipped with intelligent locators. No problems have arisen so far. 6: The triple-eccentric control butterfly valves at Lanzhou Refinery are equipped with ABB mechanical positioners; they are cylinder-type valves that provide feedback. They require a relatively high air pressure to function. This post is being updated continuously
I have here 1 Thomson model with a built-in intelligent locator, and 2 Zhejiang Sany models with built-in valve locators (which are not intelligent)
Our factory uses valves from Shanghai Automation Plant 7 and Zhejiang Yongsheng; the positioners are from Siemens and MVP
Reply to 4# Xingzhe Jiang: How is it working? Hehe, why are they all domestic? Samson’s control valves, which come with positioners, work quite well; no problems have been encountered so far. The control valves produced by Xuzhou Akka, when used with Siemens positioners, do not experience any issues related to the valve spool. There have been a few problems with the setting of the positioners, but these were resolved after initialization.

There are many types of Zool valves available in our market. Those I have used include those from Fos Fisher, Akwa, Wuzhong Zool, Metso Shanghai, Valtek, and Koso; German-made Klombach valves are also available, and imported valves are superior to domestic ones

We use Chuanyi Plant 11 and Xuzhou Aka. PTFE lining generally doesn’t work; it needs to be modified before it will function properly ; All the valve stems of the cage valves were broken; it was fixed after maintenance ; Switch ball valves generally don’t work; now many of them are like deaf ears
