Why do the connection pipes between the slurry steam generator and the steam drum often crack?
1. Is it due to excessive steam fluctuations? 2. If so, could it be problems with the wall pipelines of the steam generator or with the overall heat treatment of the generator? 3. The material: the pipelines are generally made of 20G
Obviously, the temperature of the slurry is too high, resulting in excessive stress at the welded parts of the equipment. It’s necessary to conduct a calculation and add reinforcements.
You can ask a technician to simulate it in order to find the appropriate conditions

I believe it is the large difference in the thermal expansion coefficients of the two materials that leads to thermal stress; it is recommended to choose materials with smaller differences in thermal expansion coefficients or those with identical coefficients. Additionally, attention should be paid to the type of welding rod used during welding, as both of these factors can contribute to the aforementioned issue
