The company has 1 self-circulating high-pressure boiler, made by German Geka. The steam operating conditions are a pressure of 6.5 MPa and a temperature of 290 degrees. I need to purchase steam pipes now. There are two standards: according to GB5310-2008, the material to be used is 20# steel pipe, while per GB3087-1999, 20G steel pipe is used. GB3087 is the standard for seamless steel pipes used in medium and low pressure boilers. Does a steam pipeline with a pressure of 6.5 MPa fall under the category of medium and low pressure? What pressure is used as the boundary to distinguish between GB3087 and GB5310? Please ask a pipeline expert to explain it.
1. Did the original poster say the opposite? GB3087 does not have 20G material ; GB5310 also does not list 20# material; 2.6.5 MPa falls under the category of sub-high-pressure boilers. The GB5310 standard should be used. 3. Why not purchase according to the design documents provided by the design institute?
According to what LZ said, it’s incorrect that the material specified in GB5310-2008 is 20# steel pipe while that specified in GB3087-1999 is 20G steel pipe. In fact, the material specified in GB5310-2008 should be 20G steel pipe, and the material specified in GB3087-1999 should be 20# steel pipe. It is recommended that you consult the Pressure Pipeline Code GB/T20801-2006
5310 is only available in 20G or alloy material, while 3087 is available in 20#
Regarding the self-circulating high-pressure boilers mentioned by the poster, I think 20G material should be chosen, as it meets the requirements of the GB5310-2008 standard for high-pressure boiler tubes;
Is the steam temperature 290 degrees at a pressure of 6.5 Mpa? Is LZ sure there’s no mistake?
