During the initial startup and steam purging, there is a flow meter on one section of pipe; this flow meter needs to be removed. Can the flow meter be installed again after purging that section of pipe? After disassembling the flow meter, it needs to be purged next. What should be used to connect that part of the flow meter?
After cleaning the entire area, assemble it – this way it’s less likely that anything will be overlooked. In fact, once you’re sure it’s clean and no further cleaning is needed, you can put it back together； The construction unit should cooperate in making the short circuits.
At the beginning of the steam purging process, it is best not to install mass flow meters, orifice plate flow meters with their target plates, or control valves. This is done to prevent blockages caused by dirt. Moreover, the selection of flow meters and control valves involves fixed parameters, and using steam directly could cause damage； For mass flow meters, you can simply use adapters for connection; control valves and orifice plate flow meters can be removed directly.
A short joint can be used or not during purging; after purging, do not rush to install it – first wash it with water, and only then install it
During purging after disassembly, use the manual valves before and after the flow meter to maintain pressure while performing the purge; once purging is complete, close the valves and allow the steam to flow through the bypass line. After all purging is complete, restore the flow meter.
Flow meters have filters, and they should not be purged with steam for long periods of time; short periods are fine.
Just use short connectors, and then install the flow meter at the end
