Generally, the boiling point of the product obtained through side-line extraction lies between that of the components at the top and bottom of the tower; therefore, side-line extraction is used

There is basically no difference; when producing from the top of the tower, there are multiple condensers and receiver tanks, as well as multiple pumps
It depends on the purity requirements for your product; the higher the purity, the higher the requirements for the equipment.
This is different; a tower designed for multi-stream extraction is taller than a regular tower, and its internal structure also varies, with usually several additional trays or packing elements.
There’s a lot to learn. Keep it up!
There is no significant difference; the main issue is that your product contains too many low-boiling-point components. For example, in an ethylene distillation column, if a hydrodeacetylation process is carried out beforehand, low-boiling components such as hydrogen and methane will be introduced. If the product is taken from the top of the column, its purity will not be as high as that of the product obtained from the lower trays of the column. This is mainly determined by the feed to the tower; if there are no components lighter than the product, there is no need for side-line extraction. Generally, the section from the side draw point to the top of the tower is called the stripping section of the distillation column.
Visually, a column with side-stream discharge is usually taller than an ordinary column, and it may also have more packing layers; however, there isn’t really any significant difference. What matters most are the components and boiling points. With side-stream discharge, it’s sufficient to pay close attention to the temperature of each tray in the columns as well as the reflux volume and reflux ratio – it’s not difficult to control
