Analysis of the cause of leakage at the bottom of the liquid sulfur storage tank

Hello everyone. Recently, there was a leak at the bottom of the liquid sulfur storage tank in our plant, and we are now carrying out work to replace that bottom part of the tank. The scope of this work is quite large. When cutting away the old bottom plate, we checked with the technicians and no obvious leakage points were found. Could everyone please help analyze the reason for this? Thank you!
No obvious leakage points found? How to detect leaks. The specific operating conditions are unknown. We have a desulfurization tank whose outer panels are intact; it has a glass fiber lining. However, due to sewage or rainwater entering between the bottom of the tank and its foundation, the bottom plate has been corroded from the outside inward. Check the reason; it’s unclear and no actions can be taken, so similar issues will likely occur again in the future.
Because a large amount of liquid sulfur keeps emerging from the bottom of the liquid sulfur storage tank. Thank you!
