The UPS is selected based on the load. In other words: it is sufficient to add up all the power sources and take into account a certain margin; generally, 60%-70% of the maximum value is sufficient.

The capacity of a UPS is determined by adding up your total electricity consumption and then multiplying that figure by 1.5. Basically, include the power consumption of all devices that operate on 220V. There should be a power supply cabinet for 24V; just include that cabinet as well. It depends on what type of power supply your UPS provides. If it’s for the DCS, then you need to add up the power consumption of each cabinet, as well as that of devices such as operation stations, engineer stations, printers, etc. Add up all these values, multiply them by a certain coefficient, and then convert the result into KVA units. Choose an UPS model with a capacity that is close to this value. The rest are similar; it’s just about adding up all the devices that need power. . As for whether a redundant UPS is needed, it depends on your budget and insurance requirements; generally, one unit is sufficient.
