Does the use of steam soot-blowing equipment have an impact on electrostatic precipitators?

This post was last edited by dongjiang1001 on 2011-8-24 at 17:53. Many facilities now use electrostatic precipitators, but steam is used for soot blowing in the exhaust ducts at the rear – could this cause ash to accumulate on the electrostatic precipitators?
It shouldn’t happen; as long as the flue gas temperature is higher than the acid dew point temperature of the flue gases, in other words, as long as it’s above 140–145 degrees, it will have no effect on the electrostatic precipitator.
