What does the ECB module do in a DCS system? It’s available in the Foxboro configuration. Could someone explain it in detail? Thank you
The ECB is a functional block used to define the information of IO cards, that is, FBM. Through this functional block, the CP can recognize the information related to that FBM, such as software and hardware details, address numbers, and whether an alarm should be triggered in case the card is damaged. In other words, they are the functional blocks of the configuration cards.
