Explanatory note to Article 4.2.3 of JGJ79-2002: The bearing capacity of a foundation that has been treated by soil replacement should be determined through tests, particularly in-situ tests; specific testing methods vary depending on the type of material used. Only buildings with a safety rating of level 3 and similar can use the values in Table 1. The meaning of the second half is: select from Table 1 based on the material, the compaction coefficient λ, and the corresponding process.
