Leaders demand results, focus only on speed, and yet also expect quality – it’s tough for designers. Are everyone in the same situation?
No time is given at all; yet people still expect high design quality, and there are too many flaws in project management
Although this is an off-topic question for this section, sigh, I still want to say that when quotes for products reach the client, they usually compare prices; those with lower prices don’t offer high-quality products. Why do we only realize the problem once it arises? Who doesn’t want to provide products that are both of good quality and low in price? Sometimes it’s simply not possible to do so. If you don’t do it, someone else will; without sales, how can one make a living in today’s society?
You might currently be the client, the manufacturer, or a construction worker; you’ll realize this when you come into contact with sales staff. Sometimes, whether design quality can be ensured is simply a matter of one’s own decision. I’ve made such mistakes myself, and not just once. When it comes to something that is not well understood, people tend to judge directly based on whether the product seems good or not
Today’s designers have less work to do, so they can’t earn much money! Too much and I’ll lack the capacity! The pressure is too high! Sigh
It is suggested to engage in production for a few years before starting with procurement, or to have production involved in the procurement process – this might work better. But most bosses don’t do that; after all, interests are at stake. It’s just a daydream
