On August 24, 2011, the invention patent titled “Method for preparing SAPO-34 molecular sieve by liquid-phase crystallization”, applied for jointly by Hualu Engineering Company and Northwest University, was authorized by the **Intellectual Property Office. This invention provides a method for preparing SAPO-34 molecular sieves via liquid-phase crystallization; such molecular sieves, after treatment, can be used as catalysts for the conversion of methanol into lower-carbon olefins. This method overcomes the wall-adhesion problem associated with the hydrothermal synthesis method; it features a simple preparation process, good crystallinity, and requires minimal equipment – a standard high-pressure stainless steel reactor is sufficient for the crystallization process. This makes it suitable for industrial-scale production, and the organic amine template can be recycled.
