Is the zero point of the level gauges in towers and storage tanks based on the bottom of the equipment or the level gauge port below it?
Generally, the bottom of the tower or tank serves as the zero point for the level gauge. For differential pressure level gauges, the user needs to set the initial liquid level height in the DCS system ; For magnetic flap and glass plate level gauges, when installing the indicator panel, the user adjusts the zero point to the bottom level or sets a non-zero point as the starting level for measurement.
