Under normal circumstances, the self-regulating valves in the quench water pipelines will open fully when the air supply is cut off. Additionally, the valve positions of these self-regulating valves must be set properly after the system is started, to prevent them from closing in case of malfunctions. The shut-off valves for burner cooling water should remain open even in the event of a power or air supply failure. All other handling procedures should follow the standard shutdown procedures. Each company should have detailed emergency plans for such situations, so that all operators can handle them effectively.
