They are distinguished according to their respective definitions. However, some boiler equipment also counts as pressure vessels; for example, the boiler drum is classified as a pressure vessel if registered as such, while it is considered boiler equipment if registered as a boiler.
I want to know too; keep going. Heating furnaces are similar to boilers in principle, but most of them follow pressure vessel regulations rather than boiler regulations. According to the designers, boiler regulations are too strict. Could you please explain based on what criteria one decides to use gauge blocks or tolerance rings? I find this area quite confusing – I just use whichever standard seems appropriate; could you provide some clarification? ! ! !
What are the criteria used to determine boilers, and what are the criteria used to determine pressure vessels? If boilers and pressure vessels are the same, are the inspection criteria also the same?

Boiler: A device that uses fuel, electricity, or other forms of energy to heat a liquid contained within it to certain parameters, thereby releasing thermal energy; (It only serves to heat). Containers: The regular ones go without saying. Even for waste heat boilers and evaporators, it can be seen that some are designed as boilers while others are designed as vessels; generally, whatever the design agency decides is what gets adopted (in my opinion, they should be considered vessels).
