Dear marine friends, when laying cable through pipes in explosion-proof areas, do you use explosion-proof wire glands or waterproof wire glands?
Based on your description, in this case the explosion-proof performance of the junction box should be considered first.

Is it still necessary for the wire conduit to be explosion-proof once it’s placed in the cable tray? I haven’t heard of any explosion-proof cable trays being available. What’s important is to choose explosion-proof gland fittings for the instrument side and the junction box side. Let’s take a look at the requirements in the installation specifications first.

We all use galvanized connectors directly. Galvanized pipes themselves may not meet explosion-proof requirements, and the threaded connections of explosion-proof wire glands cannot either be made to meet explosion-proof standards.
