Within what length range can pipelines be subjected to pressure testing, and under what circumstances is full flaw detection necessary?
The question is, pressure pipelines all need to be pressurized, right? Is there any requirement regarding their length? For segmented pressure testing, full flaw detection should take into account the pressure of the pressure pipeline as well as the medium used
Generally, the inner tube of the jacketed pipe and GC1-grade pipes require 100% flaw detection. It seems there’s no specification regarding the length over which pressure testing is required for pipelines Pipes within the scope of the GB50235 standard are all required to undergo pressure testing. Pipes specified in some water supply and drainage, as well as HVAC codes, also require pressure testing. Generally, pressure testing is required as long as the pressure is higher than atmospheric pressure or lower than negative pressure.
Within 1000 meters, I guess; without any pressure, the defect detection rate is around 10%~!
Your question should be more specific. You can take a look at some acceptance standards before asking, such as SH3501, GB50235, and so on. For ground pipes, just refer to GB50268.
Pressure must be applied to the pipelines through hydraulic testing. Flaw detection is classified into GC1, GC2, and GC3; GC3 does not require flaw detection. For GC2, it should be at least 5%; the requirements are specified in standard 50235
