Is a catcher the same as a scrubber tower?

The catcher seems to be relatively small. What is the principle of action? I heard that steel shavings are used as filler inside? Please tell us about Ang as you all know it
Reply 1# Noodles: The collector is also known as a demister; it is usually made of structured packing and is located below the gas phase outlet to prevent liquid from being carried away. It doesn’t seem to have much to do with the scrubber tower, right? If there is one, then it’s usually a demister at the top of the scrubber tower!
A scrubber can also be called a collector, as it is capable of removing one or several components from gases; to remove them is, of course, the same as to collect them. Washing refers to the entire airflow that is to be treated ； Capture refers to the components in the entire airflow that can be collected into the liquid phase after washing. Additionally, the collector can also be a filter, an electrostatic precipitator, or something similar.
In our unit, the washing tower is also referred to as an absorption tower (we’ve never heard it called a capture tower); generally, such towers are equipped with collection devices and redistribution devices
The collector is likely the demister, which is installed at the top of the tower to remove the solution carried in the airflow and reduce solution loss.
