Changes will definitely occur. Flow rates are generally calculated based on differential pressure; if the range of the primary meter remains unchanged but the range in the DCS is increased, the display value on the DCS screen will also increase. To avoid such changes, one can communicate with the primary meter using a communicator, determine its range, and make the necessary adjustments. In this way, the measured value will remain unchanged, though the accuracy may be slightly reduced.
