What a disaster – the bottom residue sampler is clogged. In the future, samples can only be taken from the drain. When taking the sample, first spray it with steam, then pour out the cooled water, and only after that can the valve be slowly opened to take the sample.
Isn’t there a shut-off valve in front of the sampler? What will happen if a leak occurs? A valve should still be added during the shutdown period, so that if it gets blocked, it can be removed to clear it.

Clogs in the heavy oil sampler are a common occurrence; generally, keeping the circulating water cooler flowing continuously will ensure smooth operation. The sampling nozzle should not be too long, as this can lead to clogging
At the bottom of the vacuum tower, hehe. We use steam to blow it every day.
