Condensate is an unfractionated liquid hydrocarbon recovered along with natural gas and field gas; it is a mixture of short-chain and long-chain hydrocarbons. The yield of naphtha is typically between 60% and 80%, while the yield of diesel is usually between 20% and 40%. When extracting gas from condensate wells, the amount of condensate oil obtained per cubic meter can reach several hundred grams ; The amount of condensate that can be obtained from associated gas in oil fields and natural gas is relatively small, usually only a few dozen grams per cubic meter of gas. Condensate can be used directly as fuel and is an excellent raw material for the refining industry. It can be classified into three types: paraffinic, intermediate, and naphthenic. Paraffinic condensate is suitable for producing ethylene cracking feed, while intermediate and naphthenic condensates can be used as aromatic reforming feed. LAMINARIA from Australia, and BON-TANG, BRC, etc. from Indonesia belong to the paraffin-type; while the natural gas condensate from Australia’s Northwest Shelf (NWS), and SENIPAH, HANDIL from Indonesia belong to the intermediate-type, naphthenic type.
